This design development project to be located at the EXPO 2020 site, this G+3 steel-framed public building is connected to 4 levels of refurbished shipping containers. Approximately 13m high, the design consisted of a full height atrium space and double height conference rooms. The pavilion was designed to be wrapped in a textile fabric shade material that would be installed throughout the pavilion at equal intervals and modified to allow a custom passageway through.
BMA Studio were appointed also as Architect of Record (AOR) for the full design and submission of the Pavilion through EXPO’s Concept and Final Design submissions process. All design packages successfully obtain Final Design Approval.
