The firm maintains a diversified practice and has developed expertise in mixed-use apartment buildings as well as innovative, single-use architectural design concepts. While devoted to small and medium scale projects, it has extensive experience in both residential and commercial tower developments with an emphasis on single residence, retail and mixed-use architecture. The firm has already completed projects in Dubai, Sharjah and Morocco, and looks to the future in expanding its international capabilities.

“Leila M.Asl is the creative talent behind some of the most notable projects in the UAE. Her creative accomplishments include AKOYA by DAMAC and Wasl Square Residential Complex by MERAAS. These projects are also seen as the inspiration behind many other concepts around Dubai, such as the City Walk. These developments were a highlight of her architectural career of over eight years as a Senior Design Architect at NAGA Architects, a multi-disciplinary planning and design firm.
With more than 15 years of experience in leading and working on the ever-changing landscape of Dubai including some of the most iconic architectural design projects in the region, she has developed a unique style that conceptualises creative, efficient structural designs that are robust and eye-catching. Her priority is to ensure a precedence of comfort whilst maximizing the lifespan of the project and adapting to individual requirements of the clients. Leila’s attention to detail in her designs sets the groundwork for the entire creative process, starting with the conceptual design to the final interior design touches.
Leila is the founder and the driving force behind BMA Studio. She launched the award-winning boutique firm in 2014. Since then, the architectural, engineering and design practice has been recognized by a number of high profile industry awards including the 2016 Africa and Arabia Property Awards."
